What does Shopping Secure do?

Where and how can you shop online securely?

You’re probably familiar with the Thuiswinkel Waarborg and Shopping Secure logos: the red and green house that is already displayed on more than 2,000 Dutch e-commerce websites. Clicking on our logo will take you to a unique certificate, which shows you’re dealing with a reliable retailer and can be confident in your online purchase. Want to be 100% sure? Check our member list!

E-retailers are only allowed to display our logo if they have successfully passed our certification process. This requires them to undergo a three-step process:

1. Legal check: To verify that the e-retailer complies with all rules and regulations.
2. Security scan: To identify any vulnerabilities or security threats.
3. Financial check: To check whether the e-retailer can meet its payment obligations.

As you can see, we take our role very seriously, so when you make an online purchase from one of our members, you can be sure that everything has been taken care of. If you still have a complaint, please let us know and we’ll handle it with the e-retailer in question.
